Calling & History

Isaiah 61:1 – “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.”

1984-1996: Sav-A-Life Incorporated as a 501(c) (3) to help women face an unplanned pregnancy; launched a parenting program; started a Character and Relationship Education program to educate students; and began a Biblical counseling program to meet the needs of individuals and families.

2003-2004: The present building on Westgate Parkway was purchased; the mortgage was paid off by the Wiregrass Foundation. Sav-A-Life became WiregrassHope Group.

2004-2019: Limited obstetrical ultrasound offered; Fatherhood program launched; and started post-abortive and a pregnancy loss Bible study.

2019-2020: God provided funds for Wiregrass Hope Group to purchase and renovate the building next door (161 Westgate Parkway). The building provides space for our new Baby Boutique.

2021: The new After Baby Program began. Families with children from birth to two years old receive education and support.

2024: Sexually transmitted infection testing is beginning for our clients.

Ministry Model

Saving unborn babies, saving marriages, and preparing men and women to become parents. Our goal is for every person to live out God’s design for life and family.

Our Key Distinctives:

A safe, one-on-one environment for clients to deal with family issues through the truth of God’s Word.
Our average pregnant client is living under the poverty line and unmarried. Our services are free of charge (pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting program visits, biblical counseling sessions, and baby items).
